Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis Taylor, actress, American stage and screen actress and producer. Her most well-known work is as a film actress due to her role in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) and The Mentalist. She received a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies at Brown University as well as a Masters in acting at the Tisch School for the Art New York University. Aunjanue has a reputation as an American actor, producer and director who works in television and film. She began her career acting in the theatre but then proceeded to appear in many television shows, both mainstream and independent films. She was known for appearing in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) and on BET's huge The Book of Negroes. Both series received major praise from critics, and she also took home a variety of prizes. Her professional acting debut as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. On Broadway she's appeared as a character in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. In terms of her film career, her best-known roles include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. In the world of television, her character on ABC's drama about police High Incident is well known.
